Running a floral business takes more than knowing flowers.
Practical help from a florist who’s spent more than 30 years running her own.
Personalized Floral Business Consulting
You know flowers. I can help with the part where you have to run a business, too.
Starting or running a floral business means dealing with a lot more than flowers: pricing, scheduling, software, paperwork, clients, employees, and the day-to-day decisions that keep everything moving.
I’m Althea. I’ve spent more than 30 years running my own floral design business, through home studios, a brick-and-mortar shop, employees, large events, changing technology, and all the ordinary problems that come with keeping a business going.
Now I work one-on-one with other florists on the business side of their work. That might mean talking through a decision, setting up a system, learning new software, getting organized, or solving a problem that’s been taking up too much time and attention.
My job is to help you make the business easier to run, so you have more room for the work you actually care about.
Help with whatever part of the business needs attention
One hourly rate, whether you need help once or on a regular basis.
Every floral business is different, and so are the problems that come up. I keep the consulting simple: we use our time for whatever you need help with now.
Want regular feedback and accountability? We can set up recurring meetings so you have a consistent time to talk things through and keep things moving.
Have a problem you need to solve? Book an hour or two and we’ll work through it together.
Setting up new Point of Sale software? I can help get it set up, then walk you through how to use it.
Good floral design starts with good mechanics. So does a floral business.
Early in my career, I learned to build an arrangement so it would hold up, work properly, and still look beautiful. I ended up applying the same thinking to my business.
A smooth Valentine’s Day, a workable schedule, good systems, clear pricing - those things have mechanics too. After more than 30 years of running a floral business, I’ve learned a lot about what keeps one working well.
Now I get to pass that experience along to other florists and help them sort out the parts of the business that need attention.
