Have a specific area you want to focus on? From pricing to Canva tips to setting up an accounting system, this section is designed for focus.

Classes range from single sessions to 3-week courses so you have a chance to practice, ask questions, and really get the subject. And when you don’t really want to do it yourself, we can set up some of those systems that are so critical to a smoothly running business. (Sorry, we don’t write content!)

Everything in the this section can be purchased a la carte, but if you really want to jump start your business, we have the Jump Start Bundle.

Unless otherwise stated, all classes are individual one-on-one meetings. Where consulting offers flexibility in what we discuss, the classes are focused on a specific subject.

Business Tutoring

Jump Start Bundle

The Jump Start Bundle is a 8-9 week plan to get you up & running and taking care of the things you’ve been avoiding so that you get back to the design bench. Classes & System Set-ups are divided into groups depending on how much time and energy they take to implement or learn. Each week we’ll meet 1-on-1 for 1 to 1.5 hours and tackle one subject at a time. Pick the 3 items (1 from each group) that you need the most help with.

Group I

Group I classes are single session classes, lasting 1 to 1.5 hours each.

CLASSES

  • Learn to price for financial sustainability. This class takes you from wholesale to retail & teaches you the WHYs of correct pricing. If you’re brand new to floral pricing, this class is for you.

    Math & creativity don’t always go hand-in-hand. The pricing classes are designed to take the pain out of pricing so that you can run a successful & sustainable business and still be creative.

    This class includes:

    • Step-by-Step plan for pricing arrangements - never 'just guess' a price again

    • Real-life examples - so the math makes sense

    • 1:1 help - so you feel confident in your pricing

    Class Length: 1.5 hours

  • If you have a handle on pricing basics but struggle with wedding pricing, this is the pricing class for you.

    Math & creativity don’t always go hand-in-hand. The pricing classes are designed to take the pain out of pricing so that you can run a successful & sustainable business and still be creative.

    In this class you’ll:

    • Learn how to stop under-quoting & over-promising - so you can feel good about your events

    • Learn how to stick to your buying plan (and how to create one) - so you quit giving money away

    • Master running your events profitably & your creative way

    Class Length: 1.5 hours

  • Learn how to create recipes for weddings or events that maximize profit.

    We’ll work from inspiration photos as well as creating recipes from scratch; modify recipes to work with wholesale bunch quantities and minimize leftovers; and create a buying plan you can feel confident will work for your business.

    At the end of this class, you’ll feel confident in your ability to create recipes for weddings and events and know that you’re maximizing your profit on every event.

  • If you sell arrangements for everyday events ((birthdays, gifts, sympathy, etc), you know that the ordering and planning process is completely different from wedding work.

    In this class you’ll learn how to create recipes for everyday work that maximize profit and minimize shrink.

    We’ll work from inspiration photos as well as creating recipes from scratch; modify recipes to work with wholesale bunch quantities; and create a plan so that you’re not constantly purchasing for special requests.

SYSTEM SET-UPS

  • We’ll create an Airtable database to track how much your materials cost you over the seasons.

    We’ll also show you how to enter information, add new items, and look up past information. Support while learning is always provided.

    This class is especially helpful for planning holidays & pricing events.

    This System Setup includes:

    • Complete Airtable database created for you

    • Personalized training for using the database

    Length of class: 1 hour + email support

  • We’ll get you up and running with the recipe program of your choice (EveryStem, Curate, Details, Google Sheets, and more).

    System set-up includes set-up of system & 1 1-hour instruction class plus support while you learn.

    This System Setup includes:

    • Program of choice setup for you

    • Personalized training for using the software

    Length of class: 1 hour + email support

  • Get started on documenting all the things it takes to run your business. (And stop repeating your instructions!)

    We’ll set up a system for creating documents that can easily be accessed by you and your employees and show you how to keep information up to date as your business grows.

    This System Setup includes:

    • Program of choice setup for you (airtable database, google drive + files, etc)

    • Personalized training for using the software

    Length of class: 1 hour + email support

Group II classes are 2-session classes, lasting 1 to 1.5 hours each.

    We’ll create a workflow that’s based around how YOU run your business…just more efficient. When to order flowers, scheduling employees, creating a timeline for designing and delivery—you’ll have a plan to help your events go smoothly…start to finish!

  • Finding the time to set up new software can be difficult. We’ll do this for you!

    And then we’ll teach you how to use the software so you’re up and running in no time!

    From entering wholesale prices to creating email and mood board templates, we’ll get the background taken care of for you.

  • If you know you need an accounting system but getting it set up melts your brain, we can help.

    We’ll set up your Quickbooks (or other accounting system) for you, so all you have to do is start entering the data.

    You get:

    • Accounting systems set up

    • 1 ‘Getting Started’ zoom session (1 to 1.5 hrs)

    • 2 follow up zoom sessions (30 min. ea)

  • Ready to start emailing that list of clients you’re keeping?

    We’ll set up your email platform (Flodesk, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact) and create a 12 month plan for email marketing based on your preferred content.

    What’s included:

All items above can be purchased a la carte. Depending on your selections, we may recommend a one-time System Analysis Meeting (+$195) in addition to the purchased item. The Systems Analysis Meeting is a review of your current software and procedures. This allows us to provide the most comprehensive help in setting up additional systems for your business.

All a la carte items can be booked at your own pace. Pick the areas you need help with, when you need the help. With the a la carte items, you can pick just one item or all of them based on what you need, your schedule and your budget.
